Chamomile and Lavender Tea

Chamomile and Lavender Tea

Serves 2

The combination of these two delicate and calming herbs will settle your nervous system and relax your digestive system, especially if you’re feeling stressed or tense.

2 teaspoons lavender buds

2 teaspoons chamomile buds

500 ml (17 fl oz/2 cups) boiling filtered water

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Put the lavender and chamomile in a teapot. Pour over the water, then add the lemon juice. Infuse for 10 minutes, then pour into mugs or glasses (or strain it if you prefer) and serve.

Well, I have half of this recipe already Carol as I have a bag full of lavender buds from when I made a batch of lavender scones last summer (which were delightful by the way with a big dollop of cream on top – though not very gut healing!) I do like flavoured teas. Real ones. As I have a China Rose Petal tea from Betty’s Tea Rooms, in the UK at home. Beautiful.
    This sounds very calming. I do like chamomile tea anyway. Thank you.
